Det har vært et år med mange sterke inntrykk og opplevelser, og jeg som mange andre mener at tsunamien var av det som gjorde sterkest inntrykk. Det ble mange tårer felt for min del, romjulen 2004 og utover året 2005. Det er sterkt å se når naturens voldsomhet krever så mange av oss menneskene. En ting var de ufattelige bildene som viser bølgens kraft mot strender, landskap, byer, gater, og hoteller.
Det som gjorde sterkes inntrykk på meg var tiden etterpå. Den utaffelige virkeligheten som kom i etterkant for infernoet, som rammet så utrolig mange. Familier og slekter som ble utryddet, skjebnene, og alle menneskene som mistet sine hjem, eller fant sine kjære langs strendene. Døde barn, langs endeløse strender, i det som engang var paradis for så mange. Vi får håpe det blir århundre til nestegang.
Men året har også hatt store gleder! Personlig er jeg ingen fotballidiot, men en Aafk’fan har jeg vært siste årene. Å se Aafk åpne egen stadion var stort, men like trist var det at de rykket ned. Vi håper de kommer seg. Videre så var det flott at Sunnmøres perle, Geirangerfjord kom på UNESCOs verdensarv-liste. Det er flott at denne flotte naturen blir verdsatt og tatt vare på. En annen positiv sak i den forbindelse var stoppingen av vindmølleparkene som var planlagt utenfor Sunnmørskysten.
Det ble også en regntung høst på vestlandet, med enorme vannmengder i bygd og by. Her i Bergen tok det helt av og det gikk så ille at flere liv gikk tapt på grunn av regnet. Men en kan vel som alltid trøste seg med at det kunne vært verre. Samme kan sies om valget. At venstresiden tok seieren får vise seg om det gjorde godt for folket - men en kan også her trøste seg med at alternativet hadde vært mye verre.
Videre kom der store nyheter som gjorde lite inntrykk. At paven døde, og de fann en ny mann fra helvette til å ta over, kom hverken som et sjokk eller rørte meg stort mye. Hadde nok helst sett at hele tradisjonen døde ut, at menneksene en dag kan komme til fornuften selv, uten å måtte følge gamle menn som ikke akkurat har hatt livserfaring nok til å inneha oppegående og fornuftige tanker.
Aafk vinner åpningskampen på Ålesunds nye stadion. Nye Color Line Stadion, Ålesund.
Fjellgarden Skageflå med utsikt over fossene Syv Søstre. Geirangerfjorden, Sunnmøre.
Prestestyret takker for seg, og mennesket kommer igjen i fokus. Stortinget.
Mannen med syndens ljå. Paven.
En undergrunnsvogner rammet av terror. London sentrum.
Irakiske soldater poserer over et utbrent lik. Faluja, Irak.
Videre var der mange store og negative saker i media. Mye elendighet i form av krig, uro, terror, sult, og naturen som igjen tok overtaket på oss. Irakkrigen skulle vært påbegynt, og der var nok mange som angret på sine valg dette året. Motstanden mot vesten, i Irak, har økt. Vi får håpe at menneskene én dag igjen kan få oppleve friheten, uten amerikanske styrker, bygninger, og firmaer - som skal tjene penger.
USA selv fikk oppleve orkan på orkan slå inn mot land. Verst gikk det ut over New Orleans, som ble fylt med vann i de voldsomme herjingene langs kysten. Ikke bare var det trist å så tallet på de døde og alle ødeleggelsene, men også det raseskillet som kom til overflaten. USA har mye å gjøre internt, med sin ufattelige voksende gjeld til utlandet, og enorme fattigdom ute på landsbygda.
Helvette nærmet seg Norge også. Midt i en stille Londonsmorgen smalt det. Tre bomber gikk av, og hele London og England våknet til sjokket av et terrorangrep. Det gjør at også vi fredelige nordmenn spurte oss om når dette kommer hit. Jeg håper det aldri vil skje. At jeg kan forstå terroristenes ønsker er greit, men at dette er måten å gjøre det på, kan jeg ikke skjønne.
Men året fikk en flott avslutning, da en flott mann ved navn El Baradei fikk tildelt Nobels Fredspris for 2005, sammen med sitt IAEA-atombyrå. Ikke bare var det en mann med en god sak som vant, men en veltalende mann med både et godt hjerte, og gode ord. Hans tale etter mottakelse av prisen, ble i hele verden sett på en av verdens beste og viktigste taler på årtier. Hans ord gav oss håp og forståelse, at vi fortsatt kan vinne, at mennesket engang skal kunne klare å leve med seg selv som nabo.
Håp er viktig å bevare. Det var tydelig etter de kraftige jordskjelvene langs fjellkjedene i Asia. At man fant mennesker i live mange dager etter bygninger hadde falt ned, er både et mirakel, og en tankevekker om at vi må ha håpet i oss, også når det ufattelige skjer. Vi må parallelt med håpet bygge opp en forståelse for de som ikke har håp, og hva vi kan gjøre for å hjelpe de tilbake til livet.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
