Nordmenn fraktes ut av Libanon i en konvoi av hvite busser. Ikke alle har billett…..

Jeg var lettet i det jeg kunne lese om de 300 nordmennene som hadde kommet seg av gårde i de hvite bussene, på vei mot trygghet i Syria. Men i neste øyeblikk ble jeg fanget av et veldig sinne… hvordan kan man på denne måten velge ut mennesker som skal forlate krig og nød. Hvordan kan verden sitte å se at Skandinavier får sine statsborgere fraktet i trygghet samtidig som man etterlater uskyldige mennesker i en krigssituasjon - nød og fortvilelse.

Knapt noe vestlig land har fordømt det som skjer, annet enn forsiktig fordømt et par enkelthendelser. Samtidig skal vi selv ha en trygg billett til fremtiden, og får alle parter til å love oss en trygg vei hjem. Er det rart man i ulike områder iverden ser på vesten med skeptiske øyne. Selvfølgelig er det forståelig at vi må gjøre det på denne måten, men samtidig like uforståelig at det er slik verden er. Ofte skjer denne forskjellsbehandlingen.

I 1994 ble en million mennesker slaktet ned i Rwanda, og titusener kvinner ble voldtatt. Verden så en annen vei, og lot nesten et helt folkeslag forsvinne iløpet av få uker. FN selv tok ingen avgjørelser for å hindre eller avslutte nedslaktningen. I motsetning blir hele verden sjokkert da Amerikanerne mister 3000 statsborgere i en tilsynelatende terrorhandlig. Igjen handler det om at “dette kunne vært oss”… med en tilføyende likegyldighet i etterkant.

At vi aldri vil oppleve verdensfred er bare en sannhet vi må forholde oss til. Og at terrorisme til alle tider har funnet sted, og vil finne sted i fremtiden, er også noe vi alle må forholde oss til. Men at mennesker blir verdsatt så ulikt i dag, på bakgrunn av nasjonal inntjening og ego’økonomi, er en uting som verden snart må ta tak i. Vi snakker om bistand i ene telefonrøret, og snakker om mulige økonomiske fordeler for våre egne bedrifter i samme område i neste samtale. Vi ønsker at ikke alle andre skal ha tilgang til vårt lykkeland, men samtidig skal vi fritt få kunne studere og reise i alle verdens land. Og skulle vi føle oss truet eller ikke ha det så hyggelig, så rekker vi alltid en buss hjem, til lykkelandet Norge…..
